It was a very busy day with Raising California Together Co-Chair Tonia McMillian’s participation in Water Cooler Conference in Sacramento on Tuesday, March 23rd and the California Women’s Legislative Caucus announcing their priorities for this Legislative session.
Our Co-Chair McMillian joined Assemblymember Anthony Rendon for a lively panel discussion on the critical need to expand access to child care in California for working parents. That same day, the California Women’s Legislative Caucus announced a package of comprehensive legislation to advance the economic lives of women and the economic stability of the state. Our legislation, #SB548 (De León), the Child Care Quality and Accessibility Act was one of the bills included in the package. Included in the package was also SB 23 (Mitchell) which we signed onto to support as a coalition.
You too can pledge your support for #SB548 by lending a hand! Lend a hand a here.
